Tim Brookes heads the Endangered Alphabets Project, in which he highlights alphabets that are on the brink of extinction. He also does carvings of these alphabets, and shared some beautiful photos of his beautiful work in this book. It was a great project, working with amazing photos and just small bits of text. (Fun fact: I also created the font used to typeset his name on the book cover.)
